Preliudija
Preliudija is located on the southern bank of the River Dane river, in the centre of Klaipeda's Old Town.
Klaipeda, formerly Memel, is the oldest self-governed city in Lithuania and it is situated on the shore of the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon. The city was founded in 1252. Klaipeda has been ruled by Prussia, Russia, Germany, France and Sweden, and the architecture of Klaipeda's Old Town reflects this.
The city is proud of its museums: the History museum of Lithuania Minor, the Clock museum, Smithery museum of Lithuania Minor, the Lithuanian sea museum and the dolphinarium.
The city is the summer capital of Lithuania.
